Siete a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, Michael, estudiante de Derecho, acude al juicio contra cinco mujeres acusadas de criminales de guerra nazis y de ser las responsables de la muerte de varias personas en el campo de concentraci\u00f3n del que eran guardianas. Una de las acusadas es Hanna.
