Fue escrito por Bernat Etxepare y publicado en el a\u00f1o 1545. Etxepare era consciente de ser el primer escritor en esa lengua, de ello se siente orgulloso y lo demuestra a lo largo de su obra, comenzando por el mismo t\u00edtulo.El texto est\u00e1 compuesto por una introducci\u00f3n y quince poemas\/canciones. Lo escribi\u00f3 en dialecto bajonavarro, tal y como lo utilizaba el pueblo. Esos quince poemas se pueden clasificar en cuatro grupos, en funci\u00f3n de la tem\u00e1tica: dos religiosos, diez de amor, uno autobiogr\u00e1fico en la que ensalza la libertad, y los dos \u00faltimos en los exalta el euskera.
