La llamada es atendida y Sheila es enviada a la direcci\u00f3n rese\u00f1ada con el encargo de presentarse a miss Pebmarsh.Al llegar all\u00ed se encuentra la puerta abierta y se introduce en un saloncito que le llama la atenci\u00f3n por los numerosos relojes que distingue y porque junto al sof\u00e1 descubre el cuerpo de un hombre con los ojos entreabiertos, unos ojos que miran sin ver ya que est\u00e1 muerto.
