En forma de di\u00e1logo, un hombre sin nombre ni identidad concreta, excepto la de ser un funcionario, como se presenta a s\u00ed mismo desde las primeras p\u00e1ginas, va narrando las memorias de su tragedia personal. Dostoievski logra crear con \u00e9l uno de los mejores y m\u00e1s impactantes antih\u00e9roes de su ingente producci\u00f3n novel\u00edstica, como lo son Rask\u00f3lnikov o Iv\u00e1n Karam\u00e1zov, un sujeto ret\u00f3rico de dif\u00edcil imitaci\u00f3n, en el que las ra\u00edces eslav\u00f3filas y el innegable rechazo a la imposici\u00f3n burocr\u00e1tica se a\u00fanan en todo un tratado.Fi\u00f3dor M. Dostoievski escribe Memorias del subsuelo en un momento social y pol\u00edtico bastante complejo, al que se une la delicada situaci\u00f3n personal por la que el autor estaba atravesando: su mujer se mor\u00eda y su tormentosa relaci\u00f3n sentimental con una joven le causaba dudas y remordimientos que incid\u00edan en una evidente crisis personal.
