Muchos h\u00e9roes de nuestros libros de historia del colegio, resultan ser colosos con pies de barro cuando se les investiga seriamente. No es as\u00ed el caso de Grau, del que se habla mucho y se conoce tan poco. \u00c9l se alza como un ejemplo a prueba de todo. Con inteligencia, decisi\u00f3n, \u00e9tica y un amor a los seres humanos inusual en los hombres de guerra, Grau nos ense\u00f1a que ser h\u00e9roe es cosa de seres de carne y hueso. Hernando Carpio vuelca su pasi\u00f3n por este entra\u00f1able personaje de nuestra historia, entreg\u00e1ndonos una novela llena de acci\u00f3n y aventuras. No nos da tregua ni un instante. Con maestr\u00eda nos induce a querer proteger a ese muchachito, que tuvo como madre al mar, y como hogar la cubierta de un barco &#8211; de muchos barcos -, para luego estremecernos al estar codo a codo en las batallas con el hombre que mucho antes del combate final ya era un h\u00e9roe.
