Su nombre era Conan.Guerrero cimmerio de cabellos negros y mirada hosca, no se conoce cu\u00e1ndo tuvo lugar su primer contacto con las naciones civilizadas, pero s\u00ed que particip\u00f3 en el saqueo de la ciudad aquilonia de Venarium. Ya entonces, antes de alcanzar la madurez, era de constituci\u00f3n corpulenta y mostraba toda la ferocidad de los b\u00e1rbaros de las monta\u00f1as norte\u00f1as. Se sabe tambi\u00e9n que estuvo prisionero en una celda de Hiperb\u00f3rea, pero las cr\u00f3nicas nemedias dan cuenta muy poco despu\u00e9s de sus vagabundeos por diversos reinos hiborios en busca de fortuna, gan\u00e1ndose el sustento como ladr\u00f3n o mercenario.\u00abConan el b\u00e1rbaro\u00bb es la creaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s popular de Robert E. Howard y uno de los hitos de la cultura popular moderna. El personaje se ha convertido en el arquetipo fundamental de la fantas\u00eda heroica, a la que Howard dio su forma definitiva con el ciclo de relatos que le dedic\u00f3 originalmente en la revista \u00abWeird Tales\u00bb.La presente edici\u00f3n ofrece la saga completa del personaje que prepar\u00f3 y populariz\u00f3 L. Sprague de Camp a finales de los a\u00f1os sesenta. De Camp le dio al ciclo una continuidad de la que carec\u00eda hasta ese momento, adaptando otros relatos de Howard y a\u00f1adiendo aportaciones propias y de diversos colaboradores.
