Con la presente edici\u00f3n, el lector espa\u00f1ol cuenta por fin con la oportunidad de conocer de primera mano el di\u00e1logo entre dos de las voces filos\u00f3ficas m\u00e1s importantes del siglo XX.En los a\u00f1os veinte, atra\u00edda por la seductora fama de Heidegger, Hannah Arendt acudi\u00f3 a la universidad donde \u00e9l ense\u00f1aba. Fue entonces cuando entre el profesor y la alumna se estableci\u00f3 una relaci\u00f3n amorosa que ser\u00eda decisiva para ambos. La figura de Hannah Arendt, a quien consider\u00f3 la \u00abpasi\u00f3n de su vida\u00bb e inspiradora de su trabajo, no abandon\u00f3 al fil\u00f3sofo. Por otra parte, Heidegger supuso una influencia decisiva para las posturas filos\u00f3ficas de Hannah Arendt.La Correspondencia est\u00e1 dividida en tres partes, que corresponden a tres per\u00edodos (1925-1932, a\u00f1os cincuenta, 1966-1975). Las cartas del per\u00edodo entre 1925 y 1932 nos muestran el inicio de la relaci\u00f3n hasta una carta de Heidegger en que se defiende de una acusaci\u00f3n de antisemitismo. Luego hay un silencio de varios a\u00f1os, debido al distanciamiento que se produjo y sobre todo a los avatares pol\u00edticos que pusieron a ambos en bandos opuestos. Heidegger es miembro del NSDAP, mientras que Hannah Arendt se ve obligada a huir de Alemania por su condici\u00f3n de jud\u00eda y por sus convicciones pol\u00edticas. Por iniciativa de ella en 1950, se reestablece la relaci\u00f3n bajo la atenta mirada de la esposa de Heidegger. El fil\u00f3sofo dedica cartas y poemas apasionados a su antigua amante. Sin embargo, el nexo vuelve a enfriarse a mediados de los cincuenta y se retoma a mediados de los sesenta hasta la muerte de Hannah Arendt. El epistolario no s\u00f3lo permite profundizar en la personalidad de sus autores, sino que es tambi\u00e9n un recorrido por la historia del siglo XX. Escrito precisamente en su centro (1925-1975), refleja todas sus tensiones. Por otra parte, el di\u00e1logo tambi\u00e9n permite conocer m\u00e1s a fondo algunas de las posturas filos\u00f3ficas de los epistol\u00f3grafos, sobre todo las de Heidegger, y tambi\u00e9n su obra m\u00e1s \u00edntima, como son la poes\u00eda y los poemas y textos personales de Hannah Arendt.
