El caballero Morsamor se enfrentar\u00e1 con corsarios, mahometanos, vivir\u00e1 todo tipo de lances amorosos y recalar\u00e1 en el T\u00edbet, donde conocer\u00e1 la m\u00edstica de sus monjes. \u00abUna novela de caballer\u00edas escrita a lo moderno\u00bb, dir\u00eda Juan Valera. Una lectura apasionante y divertida que har\u00e1 las delicias de los aficionados a la novela de aventuras.Basada en la historia de don Ill\u00e1n de Toledo, recogida en El conde Lucanor, Valera nunca intent\u00f3 escribir una novela hist\u00f3rica en su sentido m\u00e1s estricto. Valera mezcla hechos hist\u00f3ricos y leyendas.Valera escribe una especie de libro de caballer\u00edas a la moderna, en el que se mezclan magia, ocultismo y teosof\u00eda. El viaje de Morsamor alrededor del mundo, contempor\u00e1neo pero en sentido inverso al de Elcano, con cuya expedici\u00f3n se cruza, es una plasmaci\u00f3n del interes del autor por lo oriental y lo fant\u00e1stico.
