Vinculado al linaje de El Navnath Sampradaya, tiene por Maestro a Sri Siddharameshwar Maharaj. Los Maestros del Nath rara vez se apoyan para su instrucci\u00f3n en los textos de la metaf\u00edsica tradicional, aunque evidentemente son fieles a su esencia pero evitan, a conciencia, citar textos y datos que pueden dar lugar a engrosar la erudici\u00f3n en lugar de apuntar a la Realidad Suprema cuya realizaci\u00f3n s\u00f3lo puede ser llevada a cabo en el propio coraz\u00f3n del disc\u00edpulo. Es por ello que al principio las palabras de Sri Nisargadatta pueden parecer mordaces, rigurosas e incluso alguna sentencia algo ruda.
