MEMORIAL DE UN TESTIGO viene a ser una especie de ejercicios intencionales en el reino del realismo m\u00e1gico. Nada de esto ha ocurrido sino en la imaginaci\u00f3n del autor. Son, en su mayor\u00eda, poemas compuestos sobre una experiencia meramente auditiva o de fantas\u00eda, pero a la que no es ajena la sinceridad, el calor humano y el patetismo. Todo lo que da color y sentido a la poes\u00eda antillana lo hallamos en este volumen a trav\u00e9s de uno de sus m\u00e1s significativos representantes, quien, a pesar de los escasos libros po\u00e9ticos publicados, figura en importantes antolog\u00edas y ha sido traducido a diversos idiomas.
