‘El Gran Retorno’ ‘El gran retorno’, de ‘Daniel S\u00e1nchez Pardos’, autor de otras obras como ‘El cuarteto de Whitechapel’ o ‘El jard\u00edn de los curiosos’, es una novela negra que nos descubre en quien se inspir\u00f3 Conan Doyle para crear a su famoso detective, Sherlock Holmes. ‘El gran retorno’ est\u00e1 lleno de personajes maravillosos con los que, a pesar de su s tendencias, el lector simpatiza instant\u00e1neamente y tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 repleto de di\u00e1logos brillantes. El protagonista se presenta como la inspiraci\u00f3n real en la que se bas\u00f3 Conan Doyle para crear a su famoso detective. Eddie Knox acaba de volver del exilio forzoso al que se vio empujado por el \u00faltimo de sus muchos esc\u00e1ndalos. Le acompa\u00f1a Lin, el joven al que recogiera en un puerto ceiland\u00e9s, y s\u00f3lo le esperan a su regreso su hermana Violet y sus amigos, el detective aficionado Osmond Starret y el inspector Mordecai Howell. Pero su llegada, lejos de ser pl\u00e1cida, coincide con una serie de extra\u00f1os sucesos en los que los cuatro amigos se ver\u00e1n involucrados. Un ruin caso de tr\u00e1fico de adolescentes secuestrados y prostituidos, y una incre\u00edble historia de ni\u00f1as muertas, enterradas y resucitadas, que tienen desconcertada a la polic\u00eda y que \u00fanicamente llegar\u00e1n a desentra\u00f1arse gracias a la intervenci\u00f3n del perspicaz Starret y de sus amigos. \u00c9sta es la historia de las ni\u00f1as muertas que resucitaban; tambi\u00e9n la de un hombre que aprendi\u00f3 a escucharlas.
