Fue necesario el &#8216;accidental&#8217; hallazgo hecho en el interior de una gruta, en el a\u00f1o 1947, por un joven beduino, Mohamed el lobo, quien encontr\u00f3 las jarras de greda con rollos de lino recubierto de alquitr\u00e1n o cera con escritos en pergamino y l\u00e1minas de cobre de m\u00e1s de 2.000 a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad para que los esenios fueran nombrados en el mundo moderno. Ahora bien: \u00bfquienes eran lo esenios? Los esenios eran una fraternidad de hombres y mujeres \u201c santos\u201d, que viv\u00edan juntos en una comunidad y portaban las semillas de la cristiandad y la futura civilizaci\u00f3n occidental.
