La introspecci\u00f3n puede darnos acceso directo a nuestro propio mundo mental, pero no podemos saber mucho acerca del de otras personas. Gilbert Ryle sostiene que esos puntos de vista, que han sido lugares comunes desde Descartes, est\u00e1n basados en un desastroso &#8216;error categorial&#8217;. Este libro, que cre\u00f3 escuela y que ha constituido una referencia inexcusable para gran parte de la filosof\u00eda posterior, se abre camino entre las confusiones del pensamiento y nos invita a examinar nuevamente muchos lugares comunes acerca del conocimiento, la emoci\u00f3n, la imaginaci\u00f3n, la conciencia y el intelecto.
