En la primera, Dos Letters, un anciano vasco que lleva 50 a\u00f1os en Idaho recibe dos cartas en muy poco tiempo. En Cuando una serpiente\u2026 junto al di\u00e1logo entre hombres y animales, aparece el motivo de la mirada de la muerte, motivo que, posteriormente, reaparecer\u00e1 en el cuento \u00abDayoub, el criado del rico mercader\u00bb integrado en Obabakoak (1988). Dos hermanos cuenta la vida que los hermanos Paulo y Daniel llevan en el entorno despiadado de Obaba. Una voz primigenia, \u00abuna voz que surge del interior de nosotros mismos\u00bb pide a diferentes animales (un p\u00e1jaro, unas ardillas y una serpiente) que narren la historia de estos hermanos.
