Se llama John Fante y ha escrito tres novelas, pero sus circunstancias lo identifican m\u00e1s con el protagonista de Un a\u00f1o p\u00e9simo y tambi\u00e9n con el fracasado Bandini.Aparecida en 1952, Llenos de vida se\u00f1ala un punto de inflexi\u00f3n en la trayectoria del autor, que dejar\u00eda la literatura durante m\u00e1s de veinte a\u00f1os para dedicarse al cine. No es una novela en clave de farsa, sino una comedia acerca de la integraci\u00f3n y el conformismo.
