Al margen de toda parafernalia burguesa en relaci\u00f3n con las \u00abdrogas\u00bb, lo que se pone al alcance del hombre de una manera inusitada es la posibilidad concreta de acceder al espacio de lo sagrado. En este sentido el libro de Carlos Riccardo tiene la cualidad de brindarnos la interioridad misma de la experiencia con el peyote convertida en escritura. Aqu\u00ed la escritura no es un medio para relatarnos algo ocurrido en alg\u00fan lugar y en cierto tiempo sino que ella es la propia experiencia, no representada sino vivida por el autor y por el lector mancomunados, fuera de sus determinaciones, en la asunci\u00f3n de lo mismo, sin diferencias. Esta es su originalidad: quien lo lee participa de un misterio que abre tanto nuestra sociabilidad como nuestra intimidad hacia un m\u00e1s all\u00e1 en acto, planteando de esta manera una cuesti\u00f3n decisiva en relaci\u00f3n con una racionalidad que se considera la esencial constituyente de lo humano. Aqu\u00ed, en el libro, hay sin embargo una grieta y a trav\u00e9s de ella se accede, en el acaecer de una aut\u00e9ntica revelaci\u00f3n, a la zona inefable de lo trascendente.
