En la primera parte se describen las distintas formas de violencia que padecen las mujeres y los efectos que producen en su salud f\u00edsica y mental, y se analizan los determinantes subjetivos y sociales que encauzan la conducta de algunos hombres hacia el abuso y el comportamiento violento. La segunda parte, centrada en la especificidad del trabajo profesional, enfoca las diversas formas de intervenci\u00f3n, los riesgos que supone trabajar en esta \u00e1rea y los resguardos necesarios para el ejercicio profesional.
