Esta obra de la narrativa hispanoamericana es un magn\u00edfico relato con muchos toques de humor y lleno de sensualidad con apasionantes escenas er\u00f3ticas. La novela recrea la vida de un casanova contempor\u00e1neo que muere de forma repentina. Durante su funeral, su esposa y su amante (quien es, adem\u00e1s, su cu\u00f1ada) ir\u00e1n contando su peculiar vida. Lo que no saben es que el muerto tambi\u00e9n las est\u00e1 escuchando y que tendr\u00e1 mucha voz en ese entierro. Ambientada en Sevilla, el protagonista participa de todas las ceremonias tradicionales de la ciudad. La obra refleja con acierto la hipocres\u00eda social y sus est\u00fapidas leyes basadas en la apariencia. Sevilla se paraliza cuando Francisco Valiente, un triunfador hecho a s\u00ed mismo y que consigui\u00f3 tener a toda la ciudad rendida a sus pies, muere de forma repentina. Su funeral congrega a las personalidades sociales y pol\u00edticas m\u00e1s importantes del lugar mientras su mujer y su eterna amante van desgranando la vida del difunto. Lo que no imaginan ninguna de las dos es que \u00e9l tambi\u00e9n las est\u00e1 viendo, y que tendr\u00e1 mucha voz en su propio entierro. El lector disfrutar\u00e1 con las peripecias vitales de este casanova moderno que encontr\u00f3 en el cortejo una inagotable fuente de diversi\u00f3n. Cada vez que una mujer ca\u00eda en sus redes, se compraba un pavo real para celebrarlo.
