En Elamor constante planteael tema del tiranicidio y est\u00e1 muy vinculada a la obra tr\u00e1gica de Crist\u00f3bal deViru\u00e9s. Un rey desp\u00f3tico desea ileg\u00edtimamente a N\u00edsida, enamorada de Celauro,que no le corresponde. Todo ello lleva al tirano a perpetrar varios cr\u00edmenes,vengados finalmente por Le\u00f3nido, hijo secreto de N\u00edsida, ejecutando al rey.
