Cuando Gal Ackerman muere, su amigo Nestor Oliver Chapman intenta reconstruir, partiendo de unos cuadernos dispersos, una novela inconclusa, que finalmente es la que nosotros acabamos leyendo, para con ese acto cerrar el frustrado proceso de escritura.
