Tras la buena acogida de Indian Country, primer volumen de relatos de Dorothy M. Johnson y n\u00famero uno de la colecci\u00f3n FRONTERA, el cat\u00e1logo de la colecci\u00f3n se enriquece con esta nueva recopilaci\u00f3n de historias de la autora de Montana.Mientras que en Indian Country predominan las historias sobre los indios norteamericanos y sus relaciones con los blancos, en El \u00e1rbol del ahorcado y otros relatos de la Frontera tienen m\u00e1s presencia las historias que se hacen eco de otros mitos del Far West: forajidos, tah\u00fares, saloons, vaqueros, predicadores, buscadores de oro, etc.Los relatos que componen el presente volumen fueron publicados por vez primera en revistas como The Saturday Evening Post, Argosy, Collier\u2019s o Cosmopolitan en los a\u00f1os cincuenta, y, salvo una excepci\u00f3n \u2014\u201cLa squaw de la manta\u201d, un relato de los comienzos de su carrera\u2014, son posteriores a los reunidos en Indian Country.
