Tal vez no pod\u00eda ser de otro modo formando parte de este grupo de escritores que retratan la decepci\u00f3n del sue\u00f1o americano (Salinger, Cheever, Updike). Sus obras se editaron poco en vida siendo su novela m\u00e1s reconocida Revolutionary Road, adaptada al cine con Leonardo Di Caprio y Kate Winslet.La trama se desarrolla en el verano de 1942, el primero tras la incorporaci\u00f3n de los Estados Unidos a la Segunda Guerra Mundial. En Cold Spring Harbor, la trama no es m\u00e1s ni menos que la convivencia entre los personajes, que parece a punto de hundirse en cualquier momento. Lejos de las batallas en suelo europeo, asistimos a otro frente, a una guerra silenciosa de reproches familiares, recelos encubiertos e infidelidades que suenan peor que disparos.\u00abLos personajes deben encantar y repeler, al diablo con la compasi\u00f3n de los lectores\u00bb, dec\u00eda Yates.
