Salas Subirat)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ulises, una de las novelas m\u00e1s famosas del siglo XX, se public\u00f3 por vez primera en Par\u00eds en 1922, ya que estuvo prohibida por inmoral tanto en Inglaterra como en los Estados Unidos, pa\u00edses en los que s\u00f3lo pudo publicarse durante los a\u00f1os treinta. La traducci\u00f3n francesa, en la que intervino el mismo Joyce, es de 1929 y la primera en lengua castellana se public\u00f3 en Argentina en 1945.Se trata de un extens\u00edsimo relato que transcurre en Dubl\u00edn en un solo d\u00eda, el 16 de junio de 1904, y su personaje principal es el jud\u00edo Leopold Bloom, cuyas andanzas por la ciudad reproducen el esquema argumental de la Odisea hom\u00e9rica; su Pen\u00e9lope \u2014que aqu\u00ed no tiene nada de fiel\u2014 ser\u00e1 Molly Bloom, y el hijo de Ulises, Tel\u00e9maco, es Stephen Dedalus, el protagonista de la anterior novela de Joyce Retrato del artista adolescente, a quien la reciente muerte de su madre ha confirmado en su sensaci\u00f3n de orfandad espiritual.La estructura del libro es un alarde de virtuosismo: cada episodio posee un estilo diferente y corresponde, adem\u00e1s, a una hora del d\u00eda, a un color, a un pasaje de la Odisea o a un momento de la misa.
