Y es uno de los varios que podr\u00edan escribirse pero, en el caso de escribirse m\u00e1s, siempre ser\u00eda uno de los mejores. Su autor, \u00e1vido lector de tebeos a la par que fiel amante de ficciones y demostrado buen narrador de lo fant\u00e1stico, aborda un ensayo sobre la obra de historieta en el que trata al medio como se merece. Analiza el conjunto de tebeos en su contexto, establece par\u00e1metros para su an\u00e1lisis, y resuelve algunos de los paradigmas que se plantean (o parecen plantearse) en su desarrollo.El autor va enhebrando los referentes ic\u00f3nicos y sugeridos admirablemente. No se le escapa una: los relojes, los smileys, las sombras, los RR, los flashback\u2026 Hace observaciones muy perspicaces, como cuando plantea que el cambio del mundo se produce en 1938 con el surgimiento de los superh\u00e9roes (al igual que en el Universo Marvel) y no con el advenimiento del verdadero superh\u00e9roe tiempo despu\u00e9s, Mr. Manhattan. Resulta vivificante y muy indicativo el trazado especular que hace Mar\u00edn entre los Minutemen y los Watchmen. En efecto, los primeros fueron ef\u00edmeros y anodinos justicieros que abrieron el camino para la llegada de los verdaderos h\u00e9roes, los llamados \u00abwatchmen\u00bb por sus detractores (no olvidemos esto), marcando la diferencia el todopoderoso hombre azul.Es cierto que Mar\u00edn elude el an\u00e1lisis del relato como tal, es decir, con las herramientas de la narratolog\u00eda, cuya aplicaci\u00f3n en Watchmen es apasionante. Resulta revelador que los autores tomaran para esta obra los fondos cargados de alusiones de MAD y que lo hicieran a cierta altura. Mar\u00edn se maravilla, como todos nosotros, de que esta serie, que parece un reloj de perfecto tictac, es en realidad una obra construida sobre la marcha, con los guiones entregados por fragmentos y con los hallazgos y coincidencias surgiendo por doquier, algunos por serendipia. Lo mejor del trabajo de Mar\u00edn como analista de Watchmen es que abre las puertas a nuevas reflexiones. Esto es, sin duda alguna, lo m\u00e1s sobresaliente de este libro.
