Cuando Schr\u00f6dinger plantea, por ejemplo, la cuesti\u00f3n de si todav\u00eda puede esperarse alg\u00fan desarrollo biol\u00f3gico en el hombre de hoy o la de c\u00f3mo puede darse su evoluci\u00f3n intelectual paralela, las respuestas, rotundas, inquietar\u00e1n a algunos y escandalizar\u00e1n a otros. Adem\u00e1s de la luz que aporta a la cada vez m\u00e1s candente discusi\u00f3n sobre el porvenir del hombre, el mayor m\u00e9rito de este libro es el de obligar a pensar. Es dif\u00edcil que quien lo lea permanezca indiferente e, indefectiblemente, algo se pondr\u00e1 en movimiento en sus criterios preconcebidos. Como muy bien dijo de este libro el cr\u00edtico del Scientific American, J.R.
