Don Manuel, por sobrenombre Bueno (apelativo que toma Unamuno de Alonso Quijano, el Bueno), parroco de Valverde de Lucerna, es el personaje central de la novela y una de las m\u00e1s complejas criaturas de ficci\u00f3n unamunianas. La novela se organiza en torno a su lucha interior y a su comportamiento para con el pueblo. En don Manuel se condensan adem\u00e1s muchos de los problemas que inquietaron a Unamuno durante su vida.Obra maestra de Miguel de Unamuno, considerada como su testamento espiritual. La novela muestra un espacio no descriptivo en el que se asientan los s\u00edmbolos clave de la dial\u00e9ctica entre fe y duda, el lago, la monta\u00f1a, la nieve, la villa sumergida, etc. Manuel asume esta lucha y se convierte en m\u00e1rtir en tanto toma sobre s\u00ed la duda y la sufre por toda la comunidad quem sumida en el enga\u00f1o, avanza cohesionada por esa supuesta verdad no cuestionada.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
