Clarke.Junto al tema central del ascensor espacial encontramos en ella una abundancia de ideas y especulaciones que sigue siendo lo m\u00e1s caracter\u00edstico de las obras de este autor. Sin llegar a la inaudita acumulaci\u00f3n presente en \u00abLa Caza de Nimrod\u00bb (verdadera maravilla de inventiva), la telara\u00f1a entre los mundos ofrece tambi\u00e9n esa riqueza habitual en Sheffield.Encontramos en la novela, sumergidos en una trama de acci\u00f3n, aventura y suspense, prolijas explicaciones de tipo ingenieril que sorprenden por su verosimilitud, especulaciones sobre los viajes espaciales, ideas revolucionarias sobre la miner\u00eda de los asteroides, h\u00e1bitats sorprendentes como el de Atlantis, maravillosos resultados de la manipulaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica y su simbiosis con los nuevos y potentes ordenadores.
